In these five DVDs B.K.S. Iyengar teaches, demonstrates therapeutic yoga, and leads classes at the Yoga ’90 Convention in San Diego, California. You can access specific poses, therapeutic issues or questions with DVD menus. Six hours of material.
DVD 1 - Therapeutic Yoga – 90 minutes. Iyengar demonstrates his approach to therapeutic yoga. In this disc he works with six individuals using asanas and props to alleviate knee and back pain. He shows three different approaches to knee problems.
DVD 2 - Therapeutic Yoga – 84 minutes. In DVD 2 Iyengar continues his work with therapeutic yoga. He illustrates his therapeutic method with eight people focusing on foot, neck, and back pain.
DVD 3 – Teaching Beginners – 71 minutes. Iyengar coaches two senior teachers, Aadil Palkhivala and Ramanand Patel, as they lead a demonstration class in eleven basic poses.
DVD 4 – A Master Class with Senior Teachers – 74 minutes. In this demonstration class B.K.S. Iyengar leads some of his senior teachers in twenty-eight more advanced poses. BONUS FEATURE: remarks by B.K.S. Iyengar on what is necessary for spiritual pursuit.
DVD 5 – A General Question & Answer Session – 44 minutes. B.K.S. Iyengar lectures and responds to nine written questions.
